For the longest time, my existence was carried out in a muted twilight. It wasn't an unhappy life; the greys were soft, predictable, and safe. It was a comfortable blindness. In the dark, there is nothing to lose, nothing to reach for, and no reason to open my eyes.

And then I met you.

It was like flipping a light switch. Casting a golden glow into all of the corners, illuminating the world and forcing me awake. The safe shadows from before felt less like a sanctuary and more like an oppression. Now, standing in the full clarity of your light, I realize there is no returning to the soft greys of before. I have tasted the sun, and I would rather burn in its truth than fall asleep in the dark again. 

The greatest gift

Hugo, I wanted to create a space where I share my heart. You are, without a doubt, one of the most surprising and greatest gifts I have ever received. 

I despise losing control, but surrendering to you is the one defeat I’ll gladly claim. I couldn't stay away from you, and I never want to.

Every day with you is an adventure, a blessing, and a beautiful journey I never want to end. You brighten my world in ways I never thought possible, and having you in my life makes every moment infinitely happier.

I crave you

Before you, I can see how profoundly lonely I was, guarding my thoughts and living in intellectual isolation. You broke through those defenses immediately, offering a connection so instinctive and absolute that I was consumed by it. I craved your mind just as fiercely as I craved the physical connection.

Thank you for bringing so much energy and warmth into my world. Suddenly, I’ve been plugged into a power source, and I want to stay connected to you for as long as you'll have me.
